Now-a-days, different media houses have been publishing a quote that says “Kashimi Girls can be brought for marriage”. If you remember the quote it was stated by Haryana CM ML Khattar (Manohar Lal Khattar), when he was explaining and comparing sex ratio comparing per 1000 males in respect to females.
ANI Article: Though ANI mentioned what he said actually but the title is misleading. There are many people who read only title and decide what they want to believe 😀
Now we can bring Kashmiri girls: ML Khattar

Rahul Gandhi also tweeted quoting scroll.in article
Haryana CM, Khattar's comment on Kashmiri women is despicable and shows what years of RSS training does to the mind of a weak, insecure and pathetic man. Women are not assets to be owned by men. https://t.co/G0QM1LMuM9

There are many tweets like this.
The news was all about the proper ratio per 1000 males in respect female. But, he fell under the controversy stating that people from Haryana can now get a bride from Kashmir. The statement was given by CM Khattar just after the abrogation of Article 35A. Initially under this article, Kashmiri women would lose their property right if they get married to a person from outside Jammu and Kashmir. CM Khattar was just stating the imbalance of female percentage that Haryana had and now they had the proper ratio. This was all because of the proper education.
Now coming to the news that is flourishing nowadays, well, CM Kahttar has delivered his speech in Hindi which is
Our Haryana was defamed and was seen as a state that kill girls. We then ran a campaign. The gender ratio which earlier was 850 girls/1000 boys has now reached up to to 933 girls/1000 boys. This was a huge work, a challenge, this is a work for change in society. Elderly, youth/old will understand there may come a time when number of girls will be lesser than boys. Our Dhankad Ji has said, we will bring girls from Bihar. Now, some are saying, now that Kashmir is open and we can bring them girls from there. Jokes apart, but if the gender ratio is correct, then there will be balance in the society. So, we all have to participate in this.
So if you look at the actual speech you can easily find that CM Khattar was just trying to motivate people from his own state. He didn’t say it, actually his speech was misinterpreted. He was just talking about how education and awareness campaign has resulted in balancing Sex ratio thereby increasing number of females per 1000 males.
He also tweeted to reply Rahul Gandhi Tweet
Dear @RahulGandhi ji, at least at your level, you shouldn’t react on distorted news. I’m attaching the video of what I actually said, and In what context – this will give you clarity of mind. https://t.co/TCjhV0cuiO pic.twitter.com/GfD3SWlETI

Even though he didn’t say it actually, but when you are on such post you must think twice before you say something. He considered it as joke by saying “Jokes Apart”, he shouldn’t encourage such statements even though he didn’t say it
