Narendra modi and controversies are seems to be made for each other. And social media played an important role to circulate these controversies among the people. In the series on these controversies now another chapter has been added via social media hoax.
Nowadays people on social media platform are sharing a photoshopped image to discredit the image of Narendra Modi. A photoshopped image showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and underworld don Chhota Rajan has been shared on social media platforms. The image is also being shared with the claim that it shows Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Through the above pic people are claiming that PM Modi is obliged to favour Chhota Rajan. And Deepak Nikalje, brother of Chhota Rajan will contest in upcoming assembly election on a Republican Party of India (RPI) ticket. RPI is an ally of the BJP.
When we tried to check the reality of that particular image. We used google reverse image search option then we found that the shared image is photoshopped. In the original picture, there is no underworld Don Chhota Rajan. In Google we found the link of the article published by The Times of India dated September 26, 2014. The write-up chronicled Narendra Modi’s visit to the USA undertaken in the 1993. The person seen standing to the right of Modi is not Chhota Rajan, but an elderly gentleman.
As per TOI, Suresh Jani (left side of Modi), is an old associate of Modi, and had received him at the JFK airport, New York during one of his visits to the United States in 1993, where the photograph was taken.
The face of that particular elder gentleman was replaced by the face of young Chhota Rajan
