Nowadays, a video is making its round on social media and it shows that Muslims are burning Pakistan’s Flag. The video is spreading like a wild fire and many digital channels have addressed it as “Pakistani Burning Pakistan Flag”. Though it is a viral news, it is important to know that is it a truth or is it just a rumour?


Few news agencies have claimed that Muslims in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir better known as (PoK) are very much willing to join the Indian union. The video clip that was leaked or has been broadcasted shows the members of the “Muslim community” who are burning the Pakistani flag. Not only this, the people are also shouting a slogan that is “Hindustan Zindabad”. The clip shows that thousands of the Muslim community rallied in PoK and showcased how much they love their nation and even expressed their desire to meet in India. The people shouted “Saare Jahan Se Achch Hindustan Hamara”, while burning the Pakistani flag. They also shouted the slogan “Hindustan Zindabad, Pakistan, Murdabad”.

It has been studied that the clip was first shared by a journalist Nisar Mehdi, who is from the Islamic seminary Darul Uloom in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoband. The video clip has become so viral that it has been shared over 1,800 times. The video has also been nearly 3,400 likes on Twitter. Not only this, the video has also been shared on Facebook and WhatsApp.

Analysis of Pakistani Burning Pakistan Flag viral video

But how much do you think that the video is real or is it a fake news? So, lets check the reality.

First things first, the video which is getting viral these days “Pakistani Burning Pakistan Flag” is nearly a three years old video. This means that the news is not of current date so it fails the aspect of timeliness. But where did this clip come from? Well, the video clip was first shared by The Washington Post’s Karachi correspondent Nisar Mehdi. The video clip is taken from the Islamic seminary Darul Uloom in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoband. The Molanas Of Darul Uloom Deoband India have burnt the Pakistani flag and they have chanted the slogan against Pakistan.

When we googled it, we saw many similar videos shared previously, the oldest we could find was from 2016 so that proves it’s not some latest video.

No doubt the video clip has been broadcasted in the backdrop of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, but this is not true at all. This was a pre-planned fake news that was shared so as to create chaos and confusion in the minds of the citizen.
